Brief: To create a project idea for Mother London to share their Christmas greetings with clients and designers.
Chairs. The wonky ones, the tall ones and the stools. All with one function but bring people together at Christmas. Our idea is to use Mother’s gallery space to set up a Christmas dinner table & invite designers and clients worldwide to design their own chair to bring to the table, entitled ‘The Essence of Christmas’. Each chair would be sold in Mother’s online shop with all proceeds going towards Mother’s charity of choice.
Entered into IdeasTap 10x10x Mother: Christmas competition.
This is the direct mail piece which would be sent to Mother's clients and designers worldwide. It would be folded into an origami chair and sent in a Christmas present parcel box.
This is a small example of 'The Essence of Christmas'. We had a short timescale for the project so used chairs we already had. For the real thing, we would expect bold and beautiful, tall and small chairs designed by Mother's clients and designers worldwide.
This is an example of a designed chair being sold on Mother's online shop. All proceeds would go towards their charity of choice - after all, Christmas is a time for giving!
